Military families go through a lot, from deployments to frequent moves. This is why, during the month of April, we honor the sacrifices made by children in military families through the Month of the Military Child, which includes various activities and services thorughout the country.

There are currently 1.2 million military children of active duty members worldwide, with approximately 2 million military children experiencing a parental deployment since 9/11. With so many military children around the world, it's important to show them our support during the Month of the Military Child and all year long. Since the Month of the Military Child began, there have also been many more awareness campaigns geared toward educating people about the struggles military children face, as well as support programs thorughout Department of Defense Dependent School System (DoDDS).
